Question by Dan: Can antibiotics cause rash on penis?
I was taking azithromycin, and oflacin, and i know that they make you more sensitive to the light, but I’m trying to figure out why these brown pimple like rashes haven’t gone away on my penis. Herpes form fluid like blisters, and these are flat rashes. So, can antibiotics cause something like this?

A common penile rash that is caused by antibiotics is a “fixed drug eruption”. They tend to be brownish/purple, but usually not pimple like. So, without seeing the rash, I cannot say for sure. Why not show it to your dermatologist if it persists?
