Question by Riley’s Mommy: Itchy rash on feet during pregnancy?
I’m 29 weeks pregnant and over the past 2 weeks or so, I have developed little itchy, red spots on the tops of my feet. I have maybe 2-3 on each foot and they are about the size of a dime. My feet are a little swollen from the fluid, but is there anything I can do to help with the itching? Any ideas at what could be causing this? Thanks

My doctor told me if I ever got a rash, to go to the ob assessment at the ER.
What do you think? Answer below!
It could be a number of things. Read this article:

and if you are concerned phone your midwife.
There are several skin conditions that can develop during late pregnancy, all of which are harmless to you and the baby (other than being uncomfortable) and should disappear soon after giving birth.
Try using cortisone cream and taking Benadryl is the itching is so bad it keeps you up at night. Both are safe during pregnancy. But you can also talk to your Dr about it if you are concerned.
Make sure you keep your feet elevated when you can to help with the swelling and keep them clean and dry to prevent itching or infection. You can try foot powder from a drug store too which will help with the itching and absorb any bacteria.
Hope that helps.
