I’ve a red patchy skin rash all over my torso and arms one week after undergoing an anaesthetic. Any ideas?

   Well, the rash could be an allergic reaction. But as a rule, allergic reactions happen very quickly after you take, eat or come in contract with something you are allergic to. They don’t show up a week afterward. So it’s not likely caused by the anesthetic. However, some medications will make your skin more sensitive to other things, and it could be the result of that kind of interaction. The best thing to do would be see your doctor.

   You might of had an allergic reaction to the anesthetic if your worried consult you’re G.P

   Please see your doctor about the rash. I knew someone who had a rash all over his body and it turned out he had strep and didn’t even know it, and his wasn’t itchy either. The fact that you do not feel so well along with the rash may indicate something else is going on in your body.
